Your Heritage and Mine was a project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund in 2019/20. Sarah Carne was employed by Newham ESOL Exchange to work with ESOL learners and tutors to develop ESOL resources around Newham heritage. Aimed at learners at Entry 3 level the resources include activities at different levels and should be easy to adapt for lower and higher levels.
The resources are designed to prompt conversations and learning around heritage and enable tutors to support learners to discover similarities and differences in their experiences, and in the lives and histories of their families. It introduces some of the history of the borough of Newham and provides tools to help learners find out how to access more information for themselves.
